Catching up with friends is tricky when the kids are bored within ten minutes. Meeting somewhere with space to play means the adults can talk while the children have fun nearby.
Pick a time that suits nap schedules, and let everyone know roughly how long you plan to stay. A mid-morning catch up often works well before little ones get tired.
Choose a table with a good view of the play area so you can relax without losing sight of the kids. Agree on a meeting spot with older children in case anyone needs you.
Most importantly, keep it simple. A coffee, a snack and happy kids is a catch up worth repeating.
